I have for you a card I created that was motivated by a challenge, however, I couldn’t manage the deadline! However, I still wanted to share it with you.
This card was created to be tall and skinny, the card base is Whisper White Thick cut to 3″x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ to be a top folding card. I combined parts and pieces from 2 of the Stampin’ Up! Suites in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. I used one of the prints from the Wrapped in Plaid 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper found on page 4 of the Holiday Catalog as the accent strip on the card front, edged with thin strips of Gold Foil. I stamped the ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp set on page 32 and the Memories of Home stamp set on page 33 in Versamark ink on Whisper White card stock, then gold heat embossed each ornament. Once they were cool enough I used the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack from page 31 to quickly and easily cut out the ornaments. The sentiment “Wishing you a Merry Season” also comes from the Memories of Home stamp set.
The sentiment was also heat embossed in gold on Whisper White Card Stock. Using another punch from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog found on page 187, the Timeless Label punch, made quick and easy work of cutting out the sentiment. The Real Red mat for the sentiment was also cut using the Timeless Label punch by cutting the strip to exactly to 1-1/8″ wide, then inserting through the tag shape in the back of the punch to cut off one end. Then slide in the other end and cut to the desired length.
The front is glitzed up a bit more with the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels from page 178 of the Annual Catalog or you could opt to use the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the Holiday Catalog on page 58 which has an assortment of colors, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie and Shaded Spruce – basically representing Red, Blue Topaz, Navy, Orange/Yellow and Green.
The inside shall not be short changed! Inside along the bottom edge is the image from a stamp set also found in the Holiday Catalog on page 38 called the Christmas Countdown stamped in the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink found on page 16 of the Holiday Catalog.
