I am your hostess for the month of June, over on the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge blog. We start off the month of June with a color challenge. As can always be expected, I will do my best to get purple involved whenever possible. I am quite anxious to see what this color combination inspires you to create, so please do post your creation on our blog by Monday 7 June at 6:00pm

Here is what came to mind for me:

In order to achieve 1 butterfly with this stamp, I had to mask off all the butterflies but the one I chose to use. I inked my chosen butterfly with Soft Succulent ink then stamped it not once but twice, getting the darker and lighter butterflies, they were stamped on a Basic White panel. I then die cut the panel with the largest Scalloped Contours rectangle die – my new favorite frame die, I do believe. For the larger butterfly, I created a watercolor wash on watercolor paper with Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia, let that dry completely then die cut with the coordinating Brilliant Wings Die. Attached the butterfly with liquid glue. The greeting is stamped in Soft Succulent and comes from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. The finished front panel is attached to a piece of craft foam then attached to a Fresh Freesia card base. Inside is lined with a panel of Basic White and I die cut butterfly that matches the card front.
