Happy October – already! Michal is the CAS Colours & Sketches hostess this month. This week we have a color challenge, Michal has chosen a color combination that could go Summer or Autumn. I am quite curious to see where your imagination goes with this color combination. If you would like, we would love to see what card creations you were inspired to create with these colors. Please post a photo of your card on CAS Colours & Sketches blog gallery.

I went Autumn for sure and more specifically Halloween!

This card really came together very quickly for me. Some how my head went straight to a witches hat, which I was able to stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock, is part of the Bewitching bundle. Then using colored pencils I colored it as close as I could get to Shaded Spruce, The moon casts a bright reflection on the hat with Daffodil Delight colored pencil, the moon is a punched 2″ circle blended with Daffodil Delight Ink. The ribbon around the hat is colored with Pumpkin Pie Colored pencil. The “netting” behind the hat is used for grounding more than anything and comes from the Chic Dies. The “Happy Halloween” sentiment is stamped in Pumpkin Pie on Basic White card, then die cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. Everything is attached to a Basic Gray card top folding card base. Inside is lined with a quarter piece of Basic White card and of course a hint of Halloween moves inside the card with witch legs dangling. She was clearly moving so fast she lost her hat!

That’s a great Halloween card, Shannon, that witch hat is everything 😍 The creepy abstract die cut on the back really makes it pop – I love your style 🙂
