CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #523

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my little happy spot. Take a look around and hope you enjoy.

We would love to see what card creation you can bring to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation in our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Lucy has a fun slimline sketch in store for us with this challenge – I love slimline challenges because they force me out of typical A4 standard size card mentality. So much fun. Can’t wait to see what this inspires you to create, the design team would love to see your card ideas for this challenge. Please do consider posting your card creation to our challenge gallery. at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here is my final play with all things to do with a crafty Halloween! I think this is such a cute set, with just enough images to create a cute but spooky scene. Tricks and Treats Stamp set and Coordinating die set. the House is heat embossed in black on basic white card stock and cut with the coordinating die. On a piece of Basic gray cardstock I figured out where I wanted the house then heat embossed the little white ghosts and stamped the bats and tombstones. A nod to my own patterned paper-ish. I then cut down the piece with the Deckled rectangles die and matt it with a piece of Cherry Cobbler card also die cut with the Deckled rectangles, and glued the haunted house in its designated spot. I think the deckled edges gives a bit more of a spooky vibe. I die cut the word (sentiment) “Boo” with the die from the set, 3 times, layered them together and stuck it to the finished panel. The finished panel is then attached to the slimline basic black card base (8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″). The inside of the card is lined with a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamped at the bottom with a similar scene as the front. Happy Halloween!
