Are you ready for a color challenge, your in luck. I come to you with Octobers Color Challenge #522 from CAS Colours & Sketch. These are some great colors that our Design Team member has pulled together for us, they are bright and beautiful. Do they inspire you already? We would love to see what card creation comes to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation on our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches. One more thing, have you ever considered being apart of a Card Challenge Design Team? If so, your in luck, CAS Colours & Sketches is looking for a few more designers. Check out our blog for more information.
I have to admit these colors had me stumped, they are bright and fun, should have been easy….. alas, my mojo checked out a couple of weeks ago. Finally, due to need and desperation, I just reached for one of my favorite stamp sets with no idea what to do. Finally something happened, this is what came out. I’m not sure I’m in love with it, but it did accomplish the end game. I look at it now and see things I coulda, shoulda done differently. This is a simple white standard A4 card base. On a quarter panel of Basic White card I stamped the brush stroke in 2nd generation Daffodil Delight twice to create a sunny background. Using the coordinating die set I cut out snowflakes in different size from scraps of Blueberry Bushel and Fresh Freesia Cardstock. Then I decided to cut more snowflakes from a piece of watercolor paper that I splattered Blueberry Bushel and Fresh Freesia on for a more interesting snowflake. I really like how they turned out, I think I am struggling the most with the Blueberry Bushel snowflake. Hindsight being what it is. The sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia and comes from a retired stamp set (Gather Together).
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. Below are pictured links to all the items used for this card, click the link of the item to be taken to my online store where you can learn more about each item. I will return soon with something new. Until then, stay safe, and by all means keep crafting, exploring and creating. See you soon.
