We are cookin’ through January, it is nearly over! Joanne has been a fantastic host this month, her last challenge for us it a very clever sketch challenge. As always we would love to see what your creative minds come up with for this sketch, if you would like to share your creation please post it in the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge gallery.

This card comes together pretty easily with the help of of the Elegantly Said stamp set . The sentiment I pulled from Grassy Grove stamp set. I used the Stamparatus to stamp the flower image because I thought it would be easier to color the stamp with my markers to get the look I was after. I think the marker stamping technique is a quick and easy way to get a fun and different look for a stamped image, however, I prefer to stamp the image 2 or 3 more times to get a crisper image. Thus the Stamparatus. Once the flower image was stamped, I put a mask over it so I could stamp the scalloped border image without messing up the flower. A few markers, a black inkpad, the Stamparatus, wha-la we have a completed card! I also stamped the border image inside the card along the bottom edge…..because…..I had to.
