This challenge ushers in a new month and a new hostess – the hostess for November is Joanne, for this week she brought us a very festive color challenge, I think you are gonna love! We would love to see what your imagination has come up with, we invite you to post your card creation on our CAS Colours & Sketches blog for all to see.

So I started with 3 colors – had no idea where I was going or what I was doing. I have the Eden’s Garden stamp set (a new stamp set to be released 2 November) so I decided to play with that – good ole inky fun. Myself and I had a very lengthy discussion about what to do – this stamp set comes in a suite that is strongly settled in the green family of Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. So, Myself and I came to a unanimous decision to think outside the box in regards to the predetermined suite colors. What now? Hmmm – I see berries, I see various branches of leaves….why not make our own patterned paper! Easy out! I was also in favor of kicking off the holiday season vibes. This card is a one stamp set wonder… note: stamp set. The die cut for the sentiment is from the Painted Labels Die set. Inside I created a border along the bottom edge using what I think is the cutest image in the stamp set, a tiny branch of leaves and berries. Interesting what catches your fancy…..ey!
