Ready for a sketch challenge, this one will be loads of fun. Bhavya has created this super fun sketch challenge for you. As always we would love to see what you create so please share your creation with us on CAS Colours & Sketches blog, can’t wait to see your creativity shine.
For this sketch I had the crazy notion to make a fun fold card, so I created a easel card.
I made a top fold card base from Very Vanilla Thick Card stock. I scored the top flap halfway down at 2-3/4″ to create the easel part of the card. The 4 elements down the front are 1″ circles punch from So Saffron cardstock, stamped with the splatter image in Garden Green from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. The little leaves are cut using the coordinating Intricate Leaves die set in Cajun Craze cardstock. The leaves are glued to the circles and the circles are attached to the card front with dimensionals. Inside the card is the easel “stopper”. I cut another 2″ circle from So Saffron card, then inked the edges with So Saffron ink, trying to make it appear more moon like. Inside that moon is a wise old owl that is cut from Soft Suede using the Frightful tags dies. The branch is die cut from the Early Espresso card, using the the die from the Intricate Leaves dies. Everything is glued to 2″ inked circle then attached inside the card at the bottom center. Wise old owls also need big all knowing entrancing eyes, so I had to grab a couple of sequins to make his eyes pop a bit more….so he comment “believe in yourself” lingers in your mind. Both sentiments are from the Through it Together stamp set.
