This will be the final post of the year 2020. It is the holiday season…. it will be different, but yet….busy. I hope to see you guys all here next year. Please stay tuned because things could be getting exciting over here! I have made a New Years resolution to video my content as well. Big step, very camera shy, but I have my son as an editor (when available – he plays high school basketball), my daughter as the set setup guru (she is in middle school but feels quite qualified) and my husband who will most likely just stand aside and watch it all unfold…..exciting times at the Hatch house.
My holiday card is created with the Poinsettia Place Bundle. This bundle will be carrying over into the Holiday Catalog for 2021, so if you want to get a jump on next years catalog, now would be good. The bundle, stamp set and dies are not part of the the Giant Year End Sale, however, the designer series papers – a subtle undertone in my card below, and beaded pearls – the center of the poinsettia below – are 30-50% off.
The card base is Soft Suede card stock cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. This creates the standard, and ever so versatile, A2 card size. This is a top folding card. The Stitched Rectangles Dies were used to cut the Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla panels on the card front, as well as the Very Vanilla liner inside the card. A 1″ strip of a pattern from Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper 153487 (30% off – $8.05)
First, I stamped 3 layers of the poinsettia flower in Versamark ink on Very Vanilla paper. Then gold heat embossed each flower. Then I stamped inside each petal using one of the filler stamps from the Poinsettia Petal Stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. While I was in stamping mode, I stamped the Greeting “Seasons Greeting” – a greeting from a different stamp set, the Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Versamark and also gold heat embossed. I stamped the poinsettia on the inside liner is Soft Suede ink, the berries also use the filler stamp in Cherry Cobbler Ink. The stamped sentiment is from the Tags Buffet stamp set – which is unfortunately no longer available, however the Project Kit #153649 is available – 50% off $15.00. The sentiment is also gold heat embossed. All line work is with a Posca Gold Paint pen. The inside liner process is repeated on the front of the Very Vanilla Envelope.
