Card Challenges

Gather Together Globally

Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by. So glad your here.

This is a card created for Global Design Project #GDP201. This is a color challenge using Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot and Pretty Peacock. Such a rich combination of colors.

These colors really brought Fall to mind, of course school has begun for my kids, I’m in a Fall frame of mind. I am also providing a another sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be released in the September release of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog called Gather Together. It is also available as a bundle with coordinating dies.

The card base is a half sheet of Mossy Meadow Card Stock cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ for a side opening card. On the face of the card is a mat of Pretty Peacock card stock attached with liquid adhesive. Using Stitched Rectangle Dies I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock to create a mat for the focal image. To the Very Vanilla mat, I attached a strip of Merry Merlot script pattern from the 6″ x 6″ Neutrals Designer Series Paper. On top of the strip, attached with liquid adhesive is a stitched fishtail strip of Pretty Peacock and a smaller stitched fishtail strip of Mossy Meadow. On a piece of Merry Merlot Card Stock, I copper heat embossed the leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set, then it was cut with the coordinating die from the Gathered Leaves die set.

To finish off the front of the card, from Very Vanilla Card stock, I cut a stitched circle die and attached the cut Merry Merlot leaf to the front with liquid adhesive. The finished medallion is attached to the stitched fishtails with dimensionals. The final flourish is the sentiment which also come from the Gather Together stamp set. On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and then heat embossed in copper. The sentiment is cut with a framelit from the Merry Christmas dies, then simply glued beneath the medallion.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this card.
