Happy Birthday Simon
Hey there, thanks for stopping by. Today my daughter and I wanted to create a card to wish Simon a Happy Birthday. Their Wednesday challenge this week is to create a card for their 10th Birthday. There are so many different products out there to play with, sometimes you just gotta play.
We used Ranger Alcohol Pearl Colors Intrigue and Tranquil to create the background on Yupo paper, which is something like plastic. I learned very quickly embossing is very difficult to do on the Yupo paper. I am sure it can be done but will definitely require more practice. But it was very fun, with the Pearl inks there is a Alcohol Blending Solution that help the color mix and spread. On Vellum we heat embossed in White the flower from their Mothers Day Stamp Kit called For All Moms SSS202004, and from another Kit, I used the leaves from the stamp set Delicate Flowers SSS201900. We used from the Conord & 9th Enjoy It all Stamp set the sentiments. My young daughter enjoys making cards with me, I want her to use whatever peaks her interest, not just what I primarily use. She really enjoys the stamp kits from Simon Says, since they pull in so many other techniques into their kits I give her these kits. I want her to have an interest in what I do, develop her own opinions of what she likes, and she can take it from there.
