This card challenge somehow brought to my mind the Botanical Tag Thinlit Dies and Botanical Bliss stamp set. Then everything just started to come together for me from there. For me it created a serene window scene of a beautiful garden filled with colorful flowers, leafy vines and lots of birds.

The card is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ standard side opening card. The front panel uses one of the thinlits from the Botanical Tag set to create the window scene on Whisper White, which I then ran through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaf Embossing Folder. The vines were also cut from the The Botanical Tag Thinlits using scraps Old Olive and Lemon Lime cardstock. While I had the Big Shot out I cut out the “happy” sentiment from the Well Written Framelit Dies, about 6 times from Whisper White card and then once from a scrap of Mango Melody. All of those layers were glued together with Mango Melody landing on top of the pile. Then for the final flourish, I heat embossed the sentiment with Clear Embossing Powder to give it a knock out shine.

Behind the die cut scene is a piece of Watercolor paper that I washed with Mango Melody and a touch of Balmy Blue.

From the Botanical Bliss stamp set I used the lone flower image on watercolor paper using Powder Pink and Highland Heather, then I watercolored the the flower with those colors. The flower center is painted with Mango Melody. The Daisy flower came from the Better with You Stamp Set. I stamped it with Mango Melody on Watercolor paper, watercolored it with Daffodil Delight, then shaded with Mango Melody. The daisy center is Soft Suede. All the leaves are painted in Old Olive. I attached everything to the embossed panel, then attached that to a panel of Mango Melody. That whole unit was then attached to the Old Olive Card.

Inside, I stamped the bottom corner with the same daisy on the front.The sentiment is from Your Inspiring, it is heat embossed in Black.

Of course the envelope cant be plain whisper white…..I had to stamp the daisy in Mango Melody and Soft Suede on the front as well.
