A new week brings a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week Yoon Young has come up with an interesting and very fun sketch. We would love to see what you create with this sketch, if you are so inclined, post your creation on our blog. Can’t wait to see what you created. I decided to step back a bit, playing with new stuff is fun, but sometimes you just gotta play with something that you havent played with in a bit…something new and exciting. For this card I pulled out the Under My Umbrella stamp set and coordinating punch. Couldn’t have come together more quickly.
For the umbrella I blended Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape and Blushing Bride into an ombre effect. I stamped the umbrella outline in Blushing Bride, and stamped the flowers in Blushing Bride. I colored those in with a Blushing Bride and Granny Apple Green Stamping Write Markers, so they would pop a bit more. Then I punched out the umbrella. Stamped the umbrella grip in Crumb Cake, glued the umbrella over the grip, stamped “Hello Sunshine” in Blushing Bride….there ya go, card complete. Inside I did essentially the same thing but punched an umbrella from the coordinating Designer Series Paper that was part of the Sale-a-bration last season, so retired designer series paper and glued everything down in the lower right corner.
