This week at Global Design Project they have a Sketch Challenge #GDP266
I went with the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle, a carry over from last years Holiday Mini-Catalog. The Specialty Designer Series Paper is gorgeous with copper foil paired with Old Navy, Pretty Peacock and Mossy Meadow. I followed the Night of Navy and Copper trail and love how this turned out.
The Stamp set is Christmas Gleaming which can be bundled with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (which is 2 punches to coordinate with the ornaments in the stamp set). The Specialty Designer Series is Brightly Gleaming. I chose to go with the Night of Navy and Copper foil stars pattern (background pattern) as well as a Night of Navy and Very Vanilla geometric pattern (the tag). The sentiment “Merry Christmas” is stamped in Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and just cut out with my paper trimmer. The Ornaments are stamped in Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched out with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack. The tag is cut with the tag die from the North Pole Wonder Dies. I used the Copper Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack from the Gilded Autumn Suite to finish off the tag. The copper eyelet is a touch of flare from my stash. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Dainty Diamond 3D Embossing Folder, matted that with a piece of Copper Foil. I embossed the strip of Copper Foil with one of the Mini Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders from the Heartwarming Hugs Suite.
- Very Vanilla Standard A2 top folding card base (tent style): 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Copper Foil mat: 3-9/16″ x 4-15/16″
- Very Vanilla Embossed mat: 3-7/16″ x 4-3/4″
- Specialty Designer Series Paper (Copper foil stars): 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″
- Copper Foil Embossed Strip: 1-5/8″ x 4-1/2″
With all the parts and pieces finished off they are brought together on the card front with just a bit of liquid glue. The tag is attached with dimensionals. Inside the card I attached a trimmed off strip of the embossed copper foil as a border and a small ornament in the corner.
