Thanksgiving is usually a holiday that screams copper to me, but this year, my mind went gold. Very unusual for me, I am not a gold person. I was very anxious to see where this would take me. I must say I do love how it turned out.

Pretty simple really. A Crumb Cake Card base cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. I stamped the floral image from the Autumn Greetings Cling Stamp set in Versamark ink on a piece of Very Vanilla, then heat embossed the image in gold. I lined the inside with a piece of Very Vanilla as well, and gold heat embossed the small pumpkin image from the same stamp set. I decided to add a light touch of color to the floral image to make it pop a little bit more. All the front layers are die cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. The largest mat is from the gorgeous collection of pattern papers in the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used the next size down to create a mat in Mint Macaron and to cut out the gold embossed floral image. I ran the die cut Mint Macaron card mat through the embossing machine using one of the embossing folders from the Greenery Mini Embossing Folder collection in the Annual Catalog. The gold embossed greeting “Thankful” is from the Autumn Goodness stamp set. It was stamped on a 1/2″ wide piece of Very Vanilla, the ends of the label were punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. The mat layers are all glued together with the Mint Macaron layer being slightly skewed. The greeting is attached with dimensionals for emphasis. The finished panel is attached to the front of the card base with craft foam for a bit of dimension.
