Piercing with the Daisies
Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. I have created this card for a challenge I took on with the TGIF Card Challenge, challenge #TGIFC208.
I have never even breached paper piercing before so this was a fun learning challenge.
Here is my first attempt ever at paper piercing – it takes a little bit to learn the control of this technique, but once you got it, it is challenging but fun. Could be a semi decent stress reliever as well.
For this card I used the Daisy Delight Stamp set and Daisy Punch from Stampin’ Up! I stamped the daisies onto Whisper White Cardstock using So Saffron, the top flower is full strength then the second flower is the stamped off lighter version of So Saffron. The centers are stamped with 2nd generation Crumb cake. I die cut some “stems” from the Swirly die cuts on Pear Pizzazz. The leaf outline was stamped in full strength Pear Pizzazz on Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, then the leaf was filled in with stamped off once, Pear Pizzazz. The leaves were fussy cut, before cutting out the leaves I did a bit of paper piercing on each one. The Whisper White mat I used a cloud die cut to create the cloud filled Balmy Blue, blue sky. I used more paper piercing to outline most of the clouds. The embellishments are from Pretty Pink Posh.
This was such a fun challenge for me from TGIF Challenges, I look forward to the next and again thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again real soon.
