September Paper Pumpkin Hello Pumpkin Alternate #2

Wow, its October! Can you believe it? A new month means a new Design Team member is hosting the challenges. Its always fun to see what each DT Member brings, a different insight, attitude, perspective. This month Julie is our guide and she brings our first color challenge of the month. Think pink with Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Flirty Flamingo. Such fun colors to create whatever hits your fancy. Now go create, then show us what you have come up with using these colors or colors that are fairly similar, by posting your card at CAS Colours & Sketches. I just received my September Paper Pumpkin Kit, I was dyeing to play with it, so here is what I created with these colors and my Paper Pumpkin.

A bit of a different take for the Fall inspired September Paper Pumpkin! Fun none the less. I used the witch’s hat image in the Paper Pumpkin kit, then simply colored it with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write marker and Stampin’ Blends Rich Razzleberry Combo. The pumpkin is colored with the same markers in Flirty Flamingo. Then I used the Stitched Square die to cut out the hat. I brought in the Melon Mambo color with a few punched flowers (from a retired punch). I just wanted a bit more dimension to the card, then gave the iridescent black pearl centers. I colored the leaves with a neutral color Crumb Cake. The greeting is also part of the kit, it is stamped in Rich Razzleberry then die cut with a the banner die in the Tasteful Labels set. I felt the card needed a bit more so I added a mat cut from Rich Razzleberry 6×6 Designer Series paper and Flirty Flamingo cardstock using label dies from the Halloween Magic dies. That finishes the card front, but the card isn’t complete until the inside has been touched a little. Here I just stamped the Witch’s Hat image in stamped off Rich Razzleberry, carried a bit more Flirty Flamingo inside by coloring the pumpkin.
