Hey! Thanks for stopping by my little happy spot. Take a look around and hope you enjoy.
We would love to see what card creation you can bring to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation in our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.
I have come across a new challenge blog that seemed fairly interesting, so I thought I’d give it a shot! This is a sketch challenge TSOT 493 from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday.
For this challenge, the first thing that popped into my mind was the Snailed It stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Don’t know why, I just think it is a super cute set! Here is what I came up with for this challenge.
I just think these little slithery guys are too cute, include a mushroom and I am all in!
- Card base is Basic White Thick cardstock cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ to create a standard side folding A2 card base.
- First, I created a template on cardstock using a 1-1/2″ circle punch, punched 5 circle equidistant apart.
- With a blending blush I blended Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point ink to create a Sky/Ground background in each circle.
- I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then die cut the images from the Snailed It stamp set and coordinating dies, The images are colored with Stampin Blends Markers, then glued them in and around the circle created with the template.
- The envelope and insert is another die within the same die set, I cut the envelope from Playing with Pattern 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. Please stop by our blog at CAS Colours & Sketches find all sorts of inspiration. Below are pictured links to all the items used for this card, click the link of the item to be taken to my online store where you can learn more about each item. I will return soon with something new. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy and without doubt, keep on crafting, exploring and creating.
