Stamp It Group Easter Blog Hop

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my little happy spot. Take a look around and hope you enjoy.

Exciting News!!!! the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog has gone live! Check it out, click on image below for the digital catalog!

OR click HERE to go to the website

I am loving the Timeless Tulip Bundle and the coordinating Pleased as Punch Designer Series paper that came out in the first Sale-A-Bration Coordinating product release. Makes it so easy to pull together a quick card. There is an extremely cute stamp sets, or 2, for Easter that were released in the Mini Catalog, I am sure there will be plenty of creations on this hop and beyond using those sets. As cute as they are, I feel Easter (like Christmas) has a deeper meaning that goes beyond the Easter Bunny, Candy and Easter egg hunts that needs to be remembered as well. I wanted this card to reflect that meaning. I am not devout by any means, I am more liberal than most in that department. However, I do make sure that my kids understand the bible, what Christmas and Easter are most celebrated for and why. Then we head off to church, looks for some Easter Eggs, and of course the Chocolate bunny!

The Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper made this card so easy to pull together. There are 4 other die sets involved, but I love die cutting so I do binge cutting sessions and create what I will use the most. In this case I had already punched several tulip blossoms from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper, I had also earlier stamped several of the tulip blossoms and leaves so they were ready to go. The Hold on to Hope Stamp set and its coordinating die set The Cross of Hope are my go to sets for these sorts of secular cards and on occasion a sympathy card, therfore I have several images stamped, die cut and on the ready. The tea cup is from the Holiday Catalog release Cup of Christmas Bundle, which included a reversible stamp set with coordinating dies. This die set is another I knew I would use quite a bit so I had several cups on the ready as well. This card was truly about piece milling and using what is waiting on me to grab it.

The Stitched Nested Label die cuts used as the mat, I have a couple of each size in a few colors I am most likely to use, except for the Blushing Bride Mat in this case. Pink isn’t much of a go to for me…..until recently. The Sentiment “Easter Greetings” is from the Fabled Friends stamp set in the Annual Catalog. It is White heat embossed on a scrap of vellum cut from the Trio of Tag dies, also released in the Holiday Catalog as a bundle. I cut the same tag in Blushing Bride as a mat behind the vellum. I love how the vellum softens the Blushing Bride. The flowers were also cut in an earlier cutting binge from the Special Days Dies, a Sale-A-Bration coordination die set for the Special Someone Stamp set.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. Beautiful! I agree that the Easter meaning does become a bit too chocolate covered! The cup was a nice hidden suggestion of the true meaning. Love using vellum also. Very pretty card!   Thanks for the inspiration and please stay safe.  #stampitcontest
