I absolutely adored this card once it came it together, so much so I created it in other colorways, I am only going to show 2 here, the red version and the black version – the vote is unanimous in the Hatch house, our favorite is the red, however, I definitely had to give the black version honorable mention. These guys were really pretty easy to pull together and pretty covers the gamete in techniques . Dry embossing, a lot of gold heat embossing (I love to heat emboss!), die cutting, stamping of course….and finally using the alcohol blending markers to color ribbon to match.

The card base uses Whisper White Thick card stock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ for a standard side folding card. The outside edge of the top flap has been die cut using the Stitched Be Mine die set from the Annual Catalog. The mat for the front of the card is created with a strip of Real Red that has been gold heat embossed around all the edges. Adhered on top is a strip of Whisper White that has been dry embossed with the 3D Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder from the 2020 January – June Mini Catalog. The front focal element is created with a piece of Real Red Card stock cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. A piece of Basic Black card stock is cut with the scalloped Heart Punch from the Heart Punch Pack, the straight edge heart punch is also used to cut the gold heat embossed sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the Heartfelt Stamp set, that bundles with the Heart Punch pack. The two heart are glued together then attached with a glue dot to the Metallic edged ribbon that has been colored with the Dark Black Blendable Alcohol Marker. The combined grouping is attached to the Real Red mat using a glue dot and black dimensionals.

Inside the card is a Real Red panel that has been White heat embossed with a dotted heart outline image also from the Heartfelt stamp set. In essence creating my own Designer Series Paper. That panel is trimmed down to a narrow strip and also gold heat embossed around all edges. The inside sentiment “From my Heart to Yours” is stamped with Memento Black Ink on a piece of whisper white cut from a Stitched Shapes square die.
