This months blog hop is themed for New Years/Winter. I used both words as inspiration for this card.

This card is a standard A2 side folding card with a Whisper White Thick cardstock base. The mat is Champagne Foil cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle die. the front panel is a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I highlighted the snowflakes by very gently wiping the Whisper White Craft ink pad over them. I placed a strip of vellum down the center then attached the panel to the Champagne Foil. The panels are wrapped with a strip of Whisper White Metallic ribbon. On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped a winter scene using the images from the Snow Front stamp set in Smoky Slate , Seaside Spray and Mossy Meadow. Did a little pen of linework/outlining with a black pen and bit of highlighting with a white paint pen. I cut the image with one of the Stitched Shapes Circle dies, then cut a slightly larger circle of Champagne foil with the Circle Dies. Also from the Champagne Foil I die cut Happy New Years (I cut off the “s”) with the Word Wishes dies. The words and the matted winter scene are attached to the front panel with craft foam for a bit of elevation. The final touch to finish off the the card front is Clear Epoxy Drops. The inside is not to be forgotten….I stamped a simplified version of the Winter scene in the lower corner. The sentiment inside “Hope this New Year is filled with promises of many bright tomorrows” is stamped in Smoky Slate, it is from the Wish for Everything stamp set.

What a beautiful card! I have the Snow Front stamp set, and never thought to use Smokey Slate and Seaside Spray ink. I also have the Winter Snow embossing folder, and love your idea of highlighting the snowflakes with Whisper White ink!
