Team Stamp It February Blog Hop – Spring

Hey all, welcome to my little happy spot! I am Shannon Hatch coming to you from Birmingham Alabama.
Thanks for joining The Team Stamp-It Blog hop this month, hope you are enjoying everything you have seen so far. Below is a list of Blog Hoppers, click on their name to continue on to their blog and experience the inspiration they have created for you. At each stop, be sure to leave a comment in the comment section of each post. For each comment, you will be entered into a random drawing for the opportunity to win the prize pictured below. Good luck to you all and enjoy the hop.

I am absolutely in love with this card! First off, I love the look, colors and smell of lavender. So much so that I have anything and everything connected to it. Lavender shower gel and lotion, essential oil for my laundry, diffusers, candles, etc. So it is a natural progression that I had to have the Lavender Suite. I personally don’t do much with patterned paper unless I can connect with the majority of the patterns in the pack, this set is a success with me – purple is always welcome, I adore the natural rustic feel of crumb cake – this entire suite has won me over. For this card, I had the overwhelming need to add in the Simply Zinnia bundle – for an additional touch of color. It feels more like a flower garden with that addition which also works perfectly for a birthday card. The Crumb cake gingham patterned paper works so well for the background – and I simply love the pattern. The colors are what makes me the happiest with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape for the lavender. Berry Burst, Lofty Lemon, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the Zinnia. The leaves are Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock. The flowers and leaves are cut with the coordinating Simply Zinnia die set. The sentiment is from the Notes of Nature stamp set, stamped in Crumb Cake on Basic White cardstock and die cut with the Tailor Made Tags die set. The final touches of the Natural Wavy Trim – which is hands down my favorite ribbon/trim of all, and a dash of purple and sparkle on the tag with the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems (another piece to the Painted Lavender Suite.)

Gnomes…..they are my weakness! If there is a gnome whatever to be had, …..odds are fantastically high that I have it. These little guys had no choice but to be in my collection! So we bring in spring with some gnomes and their fairytale world. Mushroom houses, flowers abound and gnomes – screams spring to me. They are here to tell you that my little dot on the map is in full Spring mode and it is everywhere.

This Z-Fold card starts with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Old Olive card stock, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. Panels are cut from Crumb Cake cardstock to fit, then topped with a pattern from the Dainty flowers DSP. Another strip of Old Olive cardstock is cut at 2″x 10-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ x 7″. Some gnomes and flowers are stamped in Tuxedo Black ink directly onto Basic White card stock. Some gnomes and flower are stamped on silicone mat and transferred to the Basic White cardstock for a mirror image. All images are then colored with Stampin’ Write Markers and either fussy cut out or I used the Gnome dies.
