Here we are again, now the 3rd week of June. I’m so glad you could pop in! Hope summer is going well for you. I have quite a tropical color scheme selected for this week. Can’t wait to see what you are inspired to create with these color. Please do post your creations below by 6:00pm EST Monday 21 June 2021.

These colors just reminded me of the traditional Indian Sari’s. I am in love with the gorgeous silky colors. I have in my stash the perfect stamp set, the perfect colors for a creation that goes a bit to the Bohemian side. I adore mandalas, just spent some time watching Barbara Gray (Clarity Stamps in England) on You Tube – she is a super lady with the warmest, uplifting personality. On her videos – Clarity Live – SHAC Shack, she taught us how to draw a Mandala, so much fun and super cool. She even created a stamp set with what she created….super cool. You may wonder what SHAC stands for – Safe Happy And Creative or Stay Home And Craft! I will link her You Tube channel and her blog so you can get to know her too. She started doing daily videos when Covid began and she is still going strong. Now that things are beginning to return to normal she has dialed back the daily videos, to just 2 a week, but she has other folks in her business making videos to teach other crafts to keep your creative going for at least 3 days of the week. Super lady, everyone needs to check her out.

Any who – way off track there – I’m sure you have figured out that I have a mandala with lots of fun bright colors waiting for you! So off we go!

I loved creating this card, so much fun. I love the water color look of the background and the mandala. I was trying to give off a bit of a distressed watercolor look/feel. The background is simply a smashed watercolor technique using Polished Pink and Mango Melody Ink refillers on watercolor paper. Then I die cut the panel with my newest favorite frame dies Scalloped Contours. The Mandala comes from the Treasured Medallion Stamp set, it is stamped in Old Olive ink, before actually stamping the image, I spritzed it with a couple spritzes of water to give it the water colored look. With the left over ink from the background creation, I splattered the panel with all 3 colors. After they all dried, I splattered water all over the panel, then lifted some more of the color. LOOOVE IT! The Bohemian/Indian look is simply not complete without a touch of sparkle, therefore some gold gems had to be brought in. Of course the inside , as usual, is not be ignored….I unleashed the mandala stamp set! I love this card!
