Welcome back blog friends to another CAS Colours & Sketches Color Challenge. We are into week three of May, I can hardly believe how quickly time is passing. Samantha, our May hostess has pulled together a very peaceful yet springy color combination for this the final color challenge of the month. We would love to see you can create with these colors, please share your creations with us on our blog. One of my fav go to sets is Welcoming Windows – in my past life (before kids) I was an architect (still am just not practicing…waaaaay to busy). I am a huge sucker for historical architecture, windows and doors particularly capture my attention, thus making this set rank pretty high on the fav list. I also used the Scalloped Contour dies to frame the focal image. The Happy Birthday greeting is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp set. To help ground the colors a bit more, I felt the window and sill needed to be a neutral color rather than one of the challenge colors, I went with quite neutral and soft Smoky Slate. I then mounted the finished focal panel onto a Highland Heather card base. The inside is lined with a panel of Basic White that has been die cut with another Scalloped Contour Rectangular die then finished off with a Blushing Bride pot and pitcher.
