This week at Global Design Project is Theme week #GDP267 . The theme is Hot Drink. Being a big coffee drinker…..

The Quite Curvy bundle has become one of those bundles that calls to me with every card I try to create. I just couldn’t turn it away this time. So, I think it had this thought in mind….This rollercoaster ride we call life, has definitely had its ups and downs this year, but the one perfectly relaxing constant and a small reprieve from the insanity is that glorious first cup of coffee (or tea – equal opportunity) every morning. Rise and Shine this day WILL be amazing. Some mornings its a messy starts, other mornings the napkin/coaster never sees a stain. Those would be the amazing days.

The card base is a standard A2 top folding card of Whisper White Thick cardstock, cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. All layers are cut with the Curvy Dies from the Quite Curvy Bundle. The papers are Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ DSP, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. The Coffee Cup (or tea) comes from an apparently retired set called Rise and Shine – a reversible stamp set. Super cute. I used the dies from another retired set that initiated this set called Cup of Christmas Bundle – the Cup of Cheer dies. The steam image comes from the Rise and Shine stamp set. It is stamped in Craft White Ink. I created the “napkin” with the Stitched Shapes square and Whisper White card, then used watered down Early Espresso and a shot glass to create the ring stains on the “napkin”. I used the left over bits from the front die cutting on the inside to jazz it up a bit.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit.
