It’s the 5th Tuesday of the month which means, it is time for another Timeless Tuesday Double Challenge! We have a special week-long challenge where we pair some retired colors with one of our previous sketches. This time we have some autumnal colors to use with the sketch. Loving this color combination, it is absolutely squarely fitting in my wheelhouse as of late.

I have finally found my Autumn cards groove, I adore this stamp set and these colors work perfectly for setting the Autumn feel. Truth be told, I have none of these specific colors in my stash so…. I opted for Calypso Coral, Garden Green and Crushed Curry.
I’ve been making a bunch of cards to give various folks in my life, though the total effect for those cards have a bit more layers, textures, patterns and embellishments. Since I was already eyeball deep with a design I am loving, I decided to dial it back quite a bit for the clean and simple approach. Autumn is all about color and texture, so I gave a smaller nod to that texture. Here is a link to the “cards with more” that I have been making for friends, if you would like to check them out.
This card comes together quickly and easily. On a Very Vanilla Thick cardstock A4 card base I embossed the “X” lines. Then I die cut a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card with one of the Deckled Circles dies, then dry embossed the circle with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. The circle element is glued directly to the card front. The leaves are from the Autumn Leaves Stamp set, inked with Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral, then I softened the pad marks with my fingers – to blend them a bit more. The smaller leaves are stamped in Garden Green, as is the sentiment “I’, Thankful”. The leaves are combined together, then attached to the circle element with dimensional – gotta give leaves some lift – they are mostly floating in the air these days. No to slight the inside, I simply stamped another leaf image with Garden Green and Crushed Curry again blending the pad line with my finger .
