Glittery & Bright Holiday Baubles for CAS Colours & Sketches #438

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my little happy spot. Take a look around and hope you enjoy.

We would love to see what card creation you can bring to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation in our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Welcome to week 3 of September 2021. Jenny has put together some beautiful, almost beachy, feeling colors to get your imagination churning for our 2nd color challenge of the month. As always we would love to see what you have created, so if you don’t mind, please post your creation on our CAS Colours & Sketches Blog.

Who knows where the brain goes when presented with challenges and what sparked what. My brain saw these colors and went directly to rainbow! Why? No Clue. Its not a rainbow of colors can be used in a specific color challenge. Or can you use a rainbow for a color challenge? You can certainly use the portion of the rainbow that includes these colors! Which is where I went with the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. To be certain I hadn’t lost my mind, I pulled out cardstock samples of each of the colors above. I matched them up and sure enough…..a match. So much so, I had to die cut parts and pieces of the cardstock to incorporate over the Rainbow Glimmer paper. I was so excited! Perfect! Why Christmas ornaments – not sure other than feeling the pressure to create some holiday cards.

Simply enough, I used one bundle to create both of these cards – 2 cards for 1 challenge. A simple basic white card base, a little bit of Coastal Cabana and Misty Moonlight Cardstock and of course the piece de resistance the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. All the elements of the baubles are glued together, then attached to the card front with dimensionals for a little bit more drama! I combined 2 separate sentiments “Wishing you – Joy” from the stamp set, in Misty Moonlight directly on the card base. Not the typical Christmas color scheme, but I think a lot of folks are going outside the box this season for their Christmas flair. I like it like it that way.

Thank you! – I am not to sure how the thought of the glimmer paper came to be, just happened and I was so happy to see it actually came together the way I had envisioned. Love reading your comments. Thank you.

How clever to see these colours from the rainbow glimmer paper Shannon! I love the effect of the die cuts over the top. Stunning cards! Vicky x
