Here is our 2nd sketch challenge of the month – time still has not slowed down – what is happening? Bhavya has given us this clever sketch to work with this week for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #434. We would love to see what you can create with this sketch, so please feel free to post your creation on our blog.

A brief detour to take my mind from the designing thoughts of Fall, Winter and all the Holidays in between – I need birthday cards and lots of them. I have a birthday to celebrate every week in August and a few more in September! The partying just never ends in August and September for this family!

This card comes together with the Hey Birthday Chic Cling Stamp Set and the coordinating Birthday Chic Dies, from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment in Old Navy. The Chicken image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and watercolored with the water color pencils. I had to give this chic a bow tie, because this is for a very important fella in my life. The bow tie is cut from the Red Velvet specialty “paper” from the July-December Mini Catalog. The inside is treated to another sentiment “you’re still a spring chicken” accompanied by another watercolored chic with newborn chics – which is to represent me and our two kids! Pretty Clever. They are also watercolored with the Watercolor pencils which were Daffodil Delight, Real Red, and Pacific Point. The floating chicken is given a bit of elevation with dimensionals. Happy Birthday to my dearly beloved.
