The leaves were actually beginning to fall from the trees when I created this card and this post. Early August at this point, for my little dot on the map, this seems early, usually those leaves fall a lot closer to September! So, therefore Fall became my inspiration for this card! Actually 2 cards came to mind using the same bundle and colors…of course. I really like both but I think my preferences lean toward the landscape top fold card. Its a bit more subtle and easier to take in.

This card uses the Sparkle of the Season Bundle, with Real Red stamped Rose Hips and die cut velvet leaves, Daffodil Delight wreath and leaves and Pool Party gourd or pumpkin – whichever way you want to interpret that little guy – and splatters. Inside the card, I used a branch with leaves image from the stamp set. still using Daffodil Delight but adding a tiny watered down drip of Real Red to give the leaves a lot more interest. Outside, I stamped the leaves in Daffodil Delight and then used my Real Red watercolor pencil to add the highlights to the leaves. The Daffodil Delight wreath is stamped directly on a piece of Basic White card, then it is die cut with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. A little bit of Pool Party splatters go down, then I add the branches, leaves, gourd and Rose Hips. Once all the parts and pieces are placed on the wreath, the finished panel is attached to the cardbase with an adhesive backed foam sheet. Grateful is stamped in Pool Party ink directly on the Basic White Card base.
