Today I bring you a card that launches yet another, new adventure in the world of card challenges. I am jumping in to the Card Concept Challenge. Here they provide an image to inspire your card making creativity.

Doesn’t this image just make you want to dive right in and eat everything in it! Oh my goodness, the decadence.

This is what I was able to come up with. This card falls into a couple of categories, I think. Clean and Simple potentially meets Clean & Graphic. It is really hard to define my style overall, but I think this is what I have for challenge.

Where did my mind take me? Well the key words for me were Hearts, Chocolate, Brown, Raspberry (color and berry), Pink, Icing, fluffy texture – something to emulate the layers of icing. The touch of green for the leaves also needs representation. I went to Stampin’ Up! Nothings Better Than Bundle for the chocolate using Early Espresso and Soft Suede ink pad, Berry Blessings Stamp offer up the raspberries stamped in Melon Mambo the leaves give the extra punch of color in Granny Apple Green, Stitched be Mine dies bring in the hearts in Early Espresso, Melon Mambo card stock and ink, the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder portrays the icing. I think the “icing” looked best on Basic White cardstock while the Pink, green and Brown could be carried out best through Ink and die cuts.
