In this post I have for you a card created for the The Paper Players: A Tic- Tac-Toe Challenge #PP461 from Jaydee. I had made the choice to focus on one stamp set a week and work through whatever challenges I could accomplish with the same set/bundle. This week however, I landed on this challenge, where my I had to go with the flow and a game of Tick-Tack-Toe. I found myself knocking on the the door of the Come to Gather Suite on page 46-58 of the 2019 Holiday Catalog. This is another set that I just love, something about leaves, they grab me and pull me in every time.

This card begins with a half sheet of Very Vanilla Thick cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ for a top folding card. a mat of Pear Pizzazz is attached to the card front with liquid adhesive. On a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, using one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, I sponged on Celestial Copper Delicata Metallic ink, then set aside to dry. On a piece of watercolor paper I applied watered down Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz, set that aside to dry then using the coordinating dies to the Come to Gather Suite called Gathered Leaves Dies I cut out several leaves. On Vellum I heated embossed in Copper the leaf image from the Gather together Stamp set and die cut that with the coordinating die in the Gathered Leaves Dies set. I ran a strip of copper foil through the embossing machine using the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. I also cut a length of 1/4″ Copper trim and gently pulled it apart width wise. There is also a strip of Designer Series Paper included in the Come to Gather Suite.

Now that everything has been created, dried, cut and prepared it is time to get it all together. On the stenciled Very Vanilla sheet I applied the embossed strip of copper foil, then the Designer Series Paper. Covered the seam with the copper ribbon and wrapped it around to the back to keep the edges clean. The with liquid adhesive in very discreet locations I glued on the vellum die cut leaf and a water colored leaf. I applied the other watercolor leaf with dimensionals for a bit of dimension and movement.

I am not one to let the inside be ignored, so…with liquid adhesive I attached 2 more leaves cut from the coordinating die set in copper foil and pear pizzazz. If you would like to learn more about this challenge, meet the designers behind the challenge or to see what other talented and creative designers put together for this challenge, hop on over to The Paper Players.
