Happy Easter Wreath
Hey! Thanks for stopping by my little happy spot. Take a look around and hope you enjoy.
We would love to see what card creation you can bring to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation in our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.
It’s the fifth Tuesday of March, do you know what that means at CAS Colours & Sketches? It’s time for the Timeless Tuesday Double Challenge! We’re throwing back with a trio of retired Stampin’ Up colors and one of our past sketch challenges, combining them into one color and sketch challenge. From our retro vault our hostess, Yoon Young, has come up with this Double Challenge. The colors are so bright and fun and the sketch has so many possibilities. We would love to see what you come up with for this challenge, so please share with what you create, hop on over and post your creation on our blog.
So lets go play with these fun colors and sketch! I don’t have these specific colors in my stash, so my best guess was to go with Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral – though I’m beginning to wonder if Grapefruit Grove would have been a suitable replacement. I think the 2nd generation stamping of Calypso Coral is much closer to the Peek-a-boo Peach color maybe….not familiar with any of these throwback colors at all! Moving on.
I used one bundle and one embossing folder to create this card…creating really could not have been much simpler. I started with the Arrange a Wreath Bundle. The Easter egg image from this stamp set is stamped in Calypso Coral and then 2nd generation Calypso Coral. Aside from the greeting “Happy Easter” stamped in Coastal Cabana that is all the stamping. There are 2 wreath dies in the coordinating die set, so I used both to cut a wreath in Coastal Cabana and the other in Bermuda Bay. The white flowers are also from the same die set, there are 3 little flower dies, so I cut several flowers for the wreath. Luckily all this die cutting used up some of my scraps – so I have a tiny bit less of a mess on my desk! The side strip is a 2″ wide piece of scrap Basic White cardstock embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Everything is glued together and…. wha-la!
Inside the card, which should never be neglected, is a left over 2nd generation Calyspo Coral egg and some extra flowers I cut with some left over scraps. Very simple and unassuming….but bright and happy!

Finally! Thanks – sorry about the gremlins messing with your post as well!
Thanks!
What a great idea to make a white on white brick wall border Shannon! It really sets your pretty wreath off and I love that you added a group of three eggs. Vicky x
