November Stamp It Group Christmas Holiday Blog Hop
One and only one stamp set, its coordinating dies and the Winter Snow Embossing folder went into the making of this card. A touch of some heat embossing, and embellishment or two. I am one who tends to get a bit elaborate with my card creations, this one came to me and I was shocked that this is all I wanted to do with it… I love it. Couldn’t decide which way I wanted my color scheme to go so I did create 2 cards. A girl has gotta do whata girl’s gotta do to get the thought out of her system. I love both of them in all honesty, but I think I might favor the Smoky Slate card with the Seaside Spray mat. That is for today though, tomorrow will most likely be the other.
I love how the pine bough in particular turned out. I stamped the image on Whisper White card with Garden Green ink. The I let my Cricut do the cutting. The dies in the set do not match this bough, so I made due. I love the frosty appearance the close cut and the whisper white card give the bough. The Cricut helped me get the feathery look I wanted from the pine needles as well. I did color the pine cones and pine bough in a smidge with an Early Espresso and Garden Green pencil to give it a bit more weight/depth. Using the “snow” image from the stamp set, I stamped the dots all over the Seaside spray or Smoky Slate card front mat in Versamark ink, then heat embossed in White. I then ran the mat through the embossing machine with the Winter Snow Embossing folder. I stamped the greeting ” Season’s Greetings” in Seaside Spray or Smoky Slate on a scrap piece of Whisper White and die cut it with a label die from the coordinating die set Beautiful Boughs. The Pine cones and bough are attached to mat with liquid glue, the greeting is attached with dimensionals. The finished panel is attached to another piece of the same color cardstock, then mounted to the card base with Craft foam. The final frosty touch to the card front is the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets. Inside the card, the white liner piece is stamped with a sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set in the front mats coordinating color, another pine bough and pine cone are also stamped in the lower right corner. The Whipser White liner is attached to a Seaside spray or Smoky Slate mat then glued to the inside.
