This is the final week of April and it’s Wei last week of hosting for a little while at CAS Colours & Sketches.  It’s hard to believe how quickly the month has gone. Her final challenge is a sketch challenge. We would love to see what you are able to create with this challenge. What do you envision with this sketch, create it and then share your creation with at our blog.

In case this isn’t abundantly obvious – purple is definitely in my top 3 favorite colors list! So, if it makes since to use purple in design, it is in. This card makes me happy. I like the pop that the Rich Razzleberry (bottom color) stripe gives to the color combination. I was playing with Purple Posy, which is significantly lighter than Highland Heather (top color), the color combination is really quite pretty, though I was looking for punch/pizzazz! So I went with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry. On each 1/4″ strip, I stamped a dotted border image from the Borders to Background stamp set, in the matching ink. Inside the card I repeated the stamping without the cardstock strips. I used the largest Stitched with Whimsy die to create a border around the card front. The greeting “Just Because” is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and comes from the Brushed Blooms Stamp set.
