For a friend. I hate that this type of a card is necessary, unfortunately, thats the ebb and flow of life.

I made this card using the Flourishing Phrases 1 & 2 stamp set and the Flourish Thinlit Dies.

To start, you will need a sheet of Old Olive cardstock cut to 8″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ This will make the front of the card 1/2″ shorter than the backside of the card.

Whisper White cardstock cut as follows:
2 – 3-1/4″ x 5″, 1-1/2″ x 2-1/4″, 1″ X 5″ (scrap for die cutting), 3″ x 4″ (scrap for die cutting).

I used Wisteria Wonder but Highland Heather is a suitable replacement cut as follows:
5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″, 3″ x 2″ (scrap for die cut sentiment). 2″ x 2″ (scrap for die cut flower inside)

Do all your stamping with Basic Gray using the scrap of Whisper White and one of the 2 panels of Whisper White to stamp the sentiments.

Create all of your diecuts using the Big Shot. All dies come from the Flourish Thinlits, with the exception of the front sentiment, I had to use my stash for a shape a liked for this card. You will need the flower spray, the long border piece and the single flower. Lay everything out on the magnetic platform (personal preference) of the Big Shot. Set aside.

Now pull out your Aqua Painter, use which ever tip you are most comfortable with, for this I chose the smaller tip. I use a glazed ceramic tile for water colors, keeps things neater. Tap the corner of the ink pads for Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow on the tile, wet a small portion down with your brush and paint away. I made the flowers and “buds” Highland Heather, the leaves and stems Mossy Meadow. Let the color dry before making adjustments to the color. Once the spray was dry, I went over the flowers and buds with Wink of Stella to give a subtle shimmer. I think it shows pretty well in the cover photo.

Now lets pull all the pieces together to finish up the card.
Using liquid glue and a small piece of sponge, dab the glue on the back of the watercolored flourish, attach it to the center of the front Whisper White panel (3-1/4″ x 5″). Attach the die cut Whisper White sentiment to the center of the Wisteria Wonder sentiment mat panel. With dimensionals attach the sentiment to the lower corner of the panel. Attach this complete panel to the center of the larger Wisteria Wonder (Highland Heather – use what is in your stash). Attach this fully completed panel to the center of the front of the card.

Moving inside the card, use the final piece of the Whisper White, place an additional sentiment to the top center in Basic Gray. In the lower left corner adhere the die cut flower in Wisteria Wonder (Highland Heather) by dabing liquid glue with a segment of sponge on the back of the flower. Be sure your silicone mat is under when your dabing with glue on the die cuts. Now that the interior panel is complete, lets adhere the die cut border by again lightly dabing glue on the back and adhereing it to the outside edge of the card, keeping it roughly an 1/8″ away from the side edge. Attach the interior panel with snail, allowing about a 1/4″ border of Olive Green on the top, bottom and left side of the panel.
