This is so much fun for me, creating a coordinating tag to every card I design. It is just a personal challenge – but it really does put a new perspective on how one design can lead to something else.
I used all the same elements but changed up the Stitched Squares to be the color of the butterfly and angled the squares. For added texture on top of the stamp bubbles, I used modeling paste through the Dot mask (stencil) from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks found in the Annual Catalog. I added a dragonfly pendant because in my mind they just go together and I wanted something fun dangling from the ribbons. The tag shape was born from a die cutting mishap that I just took and rolled with. I was doing the die extension technique, where you move the die around to make the finished product smaller or larger than the actual die. As I have mentioned this is a challenge for me and requires more focus at many times than I give it credit for! So I did rotate, however, I rotated the die not the piece of paper. Wa-lah, a fun tag shape was born.
