Today, I have for you a card I created as my inspiration piece for you and the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #379 this week. The challenge is hosted by Jeanne, one of our Design Team Members. I hope this inspires you to post a creation by you. Would love to see you there.
This is such a cute stamp set “Walk in the Woods”, I absolutely love it. I’m guessing you have possibly noticed by now, but I am an animal lover….to a fault. So this stamp set caught my eye in the recent release of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog at Stampin’ Up!. Anything with mushrooms is a must in my stash, add a cute critter and it is an automatic induction! Enjoy.
Start with a piece of Whisper White card, die cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle dies. Stamp the trio of mushrooms in the center with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, using the water color pencils and a Water Painter brush, I watercolored the image. Then I stamped this adorable critter, from the same set, in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White used the die cut with a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Die set. Attached the critter to the mushroom panel with dimensionals, then in Old Olive I stamped the sentiment ” “The World Needs More of What You Are” on the mushroom panel. Attached the finished panel to a cut to size piece of Old Olive cardstock mat, then attached to a Whisper White card base.
As always I cannot ignore the inside, I stamped the little critter again, in Cinnamon Cider and the leaf (from the same set) in Old Olive, masking the critter, he is just too cute to stamp over.
