To a Wild Rose says Thank You

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by! So glad you could visit. Hope you enjoy this design.

This design was created for two reason, first, somehow I found myself in need of a Thank You Card – thats all I typically create, however, I didn’t have one available. Then I can came across this theme challenge, so now I find myself creating a project that fits nicely into the parameters of the Designers Choice Theme Challenge #343 at Paper Craft Crew Challange. Designers choice this go around is a Thank You card using To a Wild Rose.

My daughter is a year round swimmer, she has worked her tail off and has landed herself in the Southeastern Championship Swim meet this weekend. The older girls on the team, select a younger girl who has made it to Southeasterns and becomes their “big sister”. They create a basket or bag of fun stuff to show the younger girls support and have a little fun. Each big sister loads a basket with candy, games, nail polish, hair ties, etc. Fun stuff for the younger girls to use before, during and after the meet.

My daughter wanted me to create a thank you card for her big sister, so this is what I came up with. Just a hint: Whisper White is the major game player in this creation.

This card starts with the standard side opening card base using Whisper White Thick card stock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. On mat of Whisper White card, for interest, I stamped diagonal lines. I die cut a piece of Whisper white card stock with a stitched fish tail die. On yet some more Whisper White I stamped the 3 step rose image and 2 step leaves image, from To a Wild Rose, using Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pads, the images were die cut with the coordinating die set Wild Rose.

The finished images were attached to the Fishtail strip with liquid glue and dimensionals. The completed Fishtail panel was attached to the stamped mat with fun foam, then that finished combo was attached to the card base with more fun foam. There is a lot of “lift” on this card, it is being hand delivered so no worries about the mail. To finish off the card and to add a bit bling – what girl doesn’t like bling? I added the jewels to the front.

Once again thanks for stopping by and visiting for a bit, I hope you enjoyed this project. Until then, have a great day, keep crafting, exploring and creating.
