A “Graffiti” Valentines Wish

Not sure how this idea got in my head, however, I do love the way it played out.
This card starts with a Whisper White Thick card base cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″ creating a top fold “tent” card. This seems to be the card base of choice for me lately, not sure why….just riding the wave.
One of my favorite embossing folders is this Brick & Mortar 3D folder. I love using the Craft White Stampin’ Pad on the folder to create the mortar effect. It feels like it lends itself to a grungy, graffiti look…like I was pulled to with this card. I matted the embossed Basic Black sheet with piece of Real Red.
The majority of this card is created with parts and pieces of the From My Heart Suite. The silver heat embossed heart with the sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day”, is cut out with the coordinating heart punch within the Heartfelt Bundle. It is layered on a larger heart, clear heat embossed on Real Red and punched with the larger coordinating heart punch in the bundle, then attached with liquid glue to he matted brick piece.
At the bottom of a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White card stock is a border die cut of “floating” hearts, also repeated on a piece of Silver Foil card stock. To the backside of the Whisper White piece is a strip of patterned paper from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper included in the From My Heart Suite. Back to the front of the Whisper White piece and attached to the DSP is the Silver Foil “Floating” heart outline that was die cut earlier. Keep all of the loose heart pieces, they can be used on this project or on other creations down the road. Attach the matted embossed brick panel to this Whisper White panel. Attach the finished panel to the card base.
I don’t like for the inside of the card to feel unloved (especially a Valentine’s Day Card) so in the lower corner, are a few die cut hearts that were in my stash, left over from the Stitched Be Mine die set. This set released last year in the Occasions Catalog, then carried over to the 2020 Annual Catalog.
