For this card, I took a shot at the color challenge at Sunday Stamps, it looked to yummy and refreshing to pass up!

It took me a bit to come up with something using these colors, and I kept getting sucked in by the orange or red grapefruit wedge. I could never truly decide which piece of citrus it was. Then I apparently zoned in on the orange and red and thought of a sunrise or sunset. From there, I took it to be a sunrise with the orange, red and yellow to represent. With a new day dawning, get forget about the bees (they have some yellow – and yellow is in the challenge) getting started with their day as well.

For the sunrise, I started with a circle template I made, blending Poppy Parade, into Calypso Coral into So Saffron. I placed a smaller circle mask within the larger circle template, to be sure to get a bright white sunrise. The dandelion and bee, come from the Garden Wishes Bundle, they are black heat embossed then die cut and placed on the card front with dimensionals. The dandelions were cut directly from the blended sunrise and the bee was embossed and die cut from So Saffron cardstock. The greeting “Your acts of kindness are like a breath of fresh air” comes from the same stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock then die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, a matt of Crumb Cake cardstock was cut with a larger stitched rectangles die, then attached with dimensionals . The finished front panel was placed on a Calypso Coral mat then attached to craft foam that was attached to the Crumb Cake card base.

Inside I lined the back panel with a piece of Basic White, in the lower corner I repeated the dandelion and bumblebee but in black ink to be a bit more understated.
